Scenario question allows you to create a branched simulation which challenges a learner to make swift and accurate decisions in the vivid recreation of a real-world situation. To make it even more interactive and engaging, you can also choose a character and background that fits your subject.

These scenarios clearly put a learner into the role of making decisions in a very real world simulation. In such a simulation, learners are placed in a setting with a situation in which they have to make a single decision and then receive feedback based on the decision made.

Start by adding a scenario to a course section. Drag it from the left side panel and drop into a section. Open the scenario designer and click on Add Scenario button.

Create a new scenario by clicking on a blank simulation window.

Add scenes and link them together in a desired order.

NOTE:  You can choose from the available characters and backgrounds from the image library.

  • For the background, use JPEG images 800px x 500px. Everything that goes beyond will be cropped to fit the scene.
  • If you want to upload your custom characters, use PNG files with the transparency effect on.
Here are some requirements to the custom character image:

To enable your learners to successfully submit a scenario question, you need to properly adjust the final scenes. Make a character happy, set the score to 100 and make sure that the final scenes of your scenario contain the main text and feedback only (no reply choices)

Also, you can set a mastery score for the simulation.

Here's how to disable The Replay button if you need to limit the number of attempts.

NOTE: The Scenario question type is a third-party tool within Easygenerator. Within the Pro plan you receive the first 3 scenarios for free. If you want to get more scenarios, please email us at [email protected].
