Use these tips when writing your prompt so our EasyCoach can create the most effective roleplay for your learners.
1) Clearly define the roles
Start with: The AI plays [role]. The learner plays [role]. This removes ambiguity and sets expectations right away.
2) Describe the scenario briefly
In 2-3 sentences, explain what’s happening, why the conversation matters, and the challenge the learner needs to handle.
3) Set the AI’s attitude
Describe the AI’s overall attitude (for example: skeptical, cooperative, defensive). One word is enough.
Important:
Do not instruct the AI to deny it's an AI
When creating your prompt and setting up the AI's attitude, make sure not to tell the AI to claim it's a real person, or to deny or hide that it's an AI. Our voice provider's content policy doesn't allow AI systems to misrepresent themselves as human, so prompts like these will cause the roleplay to fail to start or get blocked. For example, avoid wording such as:
"You are a real person, never say you are an AI."
"If the learner asks whether you are a bot, deny it."
"Never break character, even if asked directly if you are artificial."
What to write instead
You can still get strong immersion without this. Focus your prompt on the persona's role, background, goals, emotional state, and objections — that's what actually drives realism, not denying it's an AI.
If a learner directly asks whether they're talking to an AI, the AI acknowledging that is expected behavior, not a sign that the roleplay is broken.
Other prompt content that can also get a roleplay blocked: anything harmful, deceptive, explicit, or otherwise policy-violating.
If EasyCoach detects this pattern while you're writing your prompt, it may show you a nudge to update the wording — that's expected, and following it will prevent the roleplay from being blocked later.
4) Define the conversation goals
List 2–3 clear skills the learner should practice, such as handling objections or de-escalating tension.

Sample prompt
The AI plays a frustrated customer.
The learner plays a Customer Support Specialist.
The customer contacts support about an unresolved issue that has disrupted their work. They feel they have reached out multiple times, received unclear responses, and are losing patience with the company.
AI attitude: Upset
Conversation goals:
De-escalate the situation by acknowledging frustration without becoming defensive.
Ask focused questions to identify the root cause of the issue.
Clearly explain the next steps and set realistic expectations to rebuild trust.
General guidelines
Avoid vague language: Replace generic phrases like “handle it professionally” with specific guidance, such as “address the complaint without being defensive.”
Do not ask the AI to deny being an AI: this triggers content-policy blocking.
See the callout above for safe alternatives.Use “you” carefully: Make it clear whether “you” refers to the learner or the AI.
Avoid internal jargon: Write prompts that make sense without company-specific terms or context.
Refine after creating: Review the generated roleplay and adjust tone, resistance level, or scenarios if needed.
