Card Sorting provides learners with interactive experiences that challenge their critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

What exactly is Card Sorting? It is a dynamic learning activity that involves organizing concepts, ideas, or information into meaningful categories or sequences. By presenting learners with a set of cards, each containing a piece of content, Card Sorting enables them to sort and group those cards into categories. This interactive exercise encourages learners to actively participate in the learning process, enhancing their comprehension and retention of the subject matter.

How do I create a Card Sorting content block?

On the left panel of the content options, select the Interactive tab and drag and drop the Card sorting option to the page layout.

To edit the Card Sorting block, click the Edit Categories button.

Here you can:

  • Add more categories (maximum 6 categories) [1]
    โ€‹Note: you won't be able to delete the category if you have only two of them as the minimum number of categories is two.

  • Change the title of the categories where the cards you'll create belong [2]
    (The character limit for the title is 90 characters)

  • Add a new card with the text or image [3]
    On the text card, you can type/paste up to 90 characters, and use the text toolbar to adjust the look and feel of the text a bit [4]
    On the image card, you can upload an image from a PC add it from your library, from the stock library, or paste it via the link, and also resize the image.
    โ€‹Note: you can't change the type of the card if you would like to have only an image card in the category, please delete the default text card first and add image cards

  • Move, duplicate, or delete the category block [5]

  • Move, duplicate, or delete the card [6]

Once everything is ready, click Done.
