If you are new to xliff localization process, read this help article first.

To ensure that translated files from Trados import and work properly in Easygenerator, you can configure the following settings.

Settings

Go to File > Options > File Types > XLIFF > Settings and uncheck the "Add segmentation information in the translated file" option to disable additional <mrk> tags added to the xliff file.

In some cases, a project may have a local setup. You need to update this setup as well. Right-click on the project, choose Project Settings > Options > File Types > XLIFF > Settings.
โ€‹

Go to File > Options > File Types > XLIFF > Embedded content and check the "Enable embedded content processing" option to simplify the translation process. It will enclose all the html entities into blocks so that a content manager can concentrate on the content only.

Important: you must keep the original content structure. Otherwise, some data may be lost.

Saving files

Easygenerator supports the xlf files only. To properly save a file in Trados, go to File > Save Target As and select the xlf extension.

Note: If you have any issues with importing the translated files into Easygenerator, please contact our support team via a live chat or email us at [email protected] and provide us with your Trados profile settings.

To find your profile settings, go to File > Setup > Manage User Profiles and select Export profile settings.
