EasyAI: Create and edit course content with our AI agent

Use EasyAI to generate new content, refine existing text, set up course guidelines, and prompt AI directly within your Easygenerator course.

Written by María Isabel Zuleta Zapata

EasyAI is an AI agent that works alongside you on your course. Describe what you want in plain language — a new section, a rewritten paragraph, questions to test a page — and it does the work, showing you its plan first so nothing changes until you approve it.

There are three ways to reach it, and they all lead to the same conversation.

Three ways into EasyAI

1. EasyAI (AI agent)

Click EasyAI in the top header to open the chat panel on the right. Use this when you want to start a request from scratch, or pick up where you left off.

The conversation stays with the course. Close the panel, reopen it, or reload the page — it's still there.

2. Create with AI

Find it in the toolbar at the end of every page, for adding something new.

Type a prompt describing what you want to create. You can dictate the information directly and provide supporting files to get more detailed and accurate results.

The AI agent will open to build the required content in the chat on the right.

3. Edit with AI

Click any content block to select Edit with AI, for changing something that already exists in the course. Then, type a prompt with the changes you'd like to make in the course or choose the quick prompts available depending on the block you're editting.

The EasyAI agent

However you got there, the EasyAI agent works the same way:

Context: what the agent is working on

The chat always shows what it's working on. This is the single most important thing to understand about the agent: it acts on whatever is in context.

What's in context depends on how you arrived. Coming in through Edit with AI puts that block in context. Coming in any other way puts the current page in context.

You can change it at any time by clicking a different block or image. For images, the chat shows a thumbnail of the exact one selected, so there's no doubt about which you mean.

Prompt: tell it what you want

Type your request into the prompt box ("Tell EasyAI what you'd like to create or change…"), up to 1000 characters.

You can also use:

  • Quick prompts — shortcuts for common requests.

  • Attachment button — add a source document or image for the agent to work from.

  • Microphone — dictate your request instead of typing it.

Be as specific as you'd be briefing a colleague. "Make this page better" gives the agent very little to work with. "Rewrite this page to be more concise and add a knowledge check at the end" gives it a clear brief.

Plan: review before anything changes

For anything beyond a trivial one-line edit, EasyAI replies with a Proposed plan — a short list of the steps it intends to take — and waits. Nothing in your course changes yet.

Read it over. If it's not what you meant, click Cancel and rephrase, or reply in the chat with a correction. If it looks right, click Approve, and the agent will start working.

Very small, unambiguous edits sometimes skip the plan and apply directly — including most Edit with AI quick prompts. You can still undo those if needed.

Execution: watch it work

The chat shows progress as it goes: "Thinking," "Making edits," "Updating an image." A Stop button lets you interrupt partway through.

Meanwhile, on the canvas:

  • Blocks being changed are covered by a generating animation and turn temporarily read-only, so nothing gets edited mid-change.

  • New pages and sections appear as skeleton placeholders in the left sidebar before their content fills in.

You don't have to stay on the page being edited. Navigate elsewhere in the course if you like — just come back to review once it's done.

Result: review what changed

When the agent finishes, the chat summarizes what it did as a set of chips, one per change ("Image — Added," for example).

From there you can:

  • Show actual — preview what the content looked like before, then toggle back.

  • Revert changes — undo everything from that request, with a Keep/Restore confirmation.

  • Rate the result with a thumbs up or down.

Managing the conversation

Two controls sit at the top of the chat:

  • Course guidelines: You can edit them directly from the chat. These are the goals, preferences, and up to 3 reference files that will shape everything the agent generates for this course. You can update Course Guidelines at any time. Future AI generations will follow your most recent instructions.

Tips for effective course guidelines

  • Keep your course goal clear and action-focused.

  • Use short, direct instructions for tone and style.

  • Upload only files that directly relate to your course topic.

  • Update guidelines as your course evolves to maintain consistency.

  • Clear conversation: The eraser icon clears your chat history. Deleting your chat history permanently removes all Chat with AI responses. This action cannot be undone and will affect your ability to revert past changes.

Everything the EasyAI agent can do

The agent can build structure, create and edit content, work from your own documents, and answer questions about your course.

Click on the tabs below to learn more about each possibility.

Build structure

Create sections, pages, and question pages; write section introductions and learning objectives; generate section cover images.

For example: "Create a new section on onboarding with 4 pages and a knowledge check at the end."

Create content blocks

Ask it to create text, images, tables, and interactive blocks, such as flip cards, card sorting, how-to, checklist, show more, etc.

For example: "Turn this text into a how-to block."

Create questions

Single choice, multiple choice, true/false, open questions, fill-in-the-blank, and any other question type available in Easygenerator.

For example: "Add 3 multiple-choice questions testing this page's content."

Edit existing content

Rewrite or regenerate a block, edit an image in place ("make this black and white," "add a sepia tone"), delete, move, rename, and duplicate content.

Work from your own sources

Attach a document and the agent can read its outline and pages, then ground new content in it rather than inventing it.

Answer questions and navigate

Explain what's on a page, or jump you to a specific page.

Generate and edit images

Ask for a new image, or edit an existing one, with style (Auto, Realistic, Digital art, Illustration, Pixel art, 3D model, Sketch) and quality controls — either in the chat or through Advanced image options on an image block.

Ask for clarification

When a request is ambiguous — a block with several images, and no indication which one you mean — the agent asks a follow-up question with options rather than guessing.

Work alongside co-authors

Changes land live, so a colleague with the same course open sees them appear.
