The course editor is an intuitive, streamlined, and distraction-free space built to help you create engaging courses with ease. With real-time editing that closely mirrors a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) experience, your course will look very similar to how it appears to learners — helping you work with confidence and avoid surprises.
This guide walks you through the interface, features, and best practices to help you make the most of our course editor.
Choose the right course layout for your content
There are two layout options to choose from, depending on your course goals and content structure:
Multi-page layout: Best for in-depth learning journeys, where you want to break content into structured sections and pages. This format works well for comprehensive topics that benefit from a step-by-step flow.
Single-page layout: Ideal for shorter topics or microlearning. All your content appears on one continuous scroll, making it quick to go through and easy to digest.
You can switch between the two modes at any time—your content remains intact, and nothing is lost during the transition. However, for already published courses, changing the layout will affect the learner’s progress.
Opening a multi-page vs. a single-page layout
When you open a multi-page course in the editor, you'll see two primary areas:
Left side: Course cover
This is where your course title and introduction appear. Use this space to give learners a clear overview of what they’ll gain from the course.
Right side: Course outline
Here you’ll find your course outline—sections, pages, and questions. Click Add item to add new sections, pages, or questions.
Note: Your outline remains accessible while editing, allowing you to quickly adjust your course structure at any time.
Best practices for multi-page courses
Sections help you group related topics or concepts—like units in a course.
Pages are where you dive deeper into each topic, much like chapters in a book.
Questions are great for reinforcing learning and checking understanding.
Use clear, descriptive titles to help learners easily navigate your course.
When you open a single-page course, you will see a blank canvas where you can start adding content blocks of your choice directly from the Quick Access Toolbar or by dragging and dropping from the content blocks list.
Quick Access & Mini Toolbars
To help you create courses faster and more intuitively, you will find two toolbars designed to keep your most-used content blocks right where you need them:
The Quick Access Toolbar lets you insert commonly used content blocks directly into your pages and questions
The Mini Toolbar provides quick formatting options in the course introduction introductions
Navigate key actions from the Action panel
The Action Panel in the top-right corner neatly brings together key functions, such as:

As well as the additional features your organization may have, such as EasyAI or EasyTranslate.
