The Carousel content block allows you to display multiple images in an interactive, easy-to-navigate slideshow. Learners can browse through the images using navigation arrows, dots, swipe gestures on touch devices, or their keyboard.
You can use an Image Carousel to present a series of related images without taking up too much space on the page.
An Image Carousel can be useful when you want to:
Present multiple images related to the same topic.
Show different steps in a process.
Display examples or variations of a concept.
Create a visual timeline or sequence.
Showcase several images without adding a separate image block for each one.
š” Tip: Use a carousel when the images are related and make sense as part of the same visual story. If learners need to compare several images at the same time, displaying them next to each other may be more effective.
Add a Carousel to your course
Open a content page in your course or add a new one.
Click More on the toolbar or go to Content blocks in the left sidebar.
Open the Interactive content blocks.
Drag and drop the Image Carousel content block onto your course page.
You can now start adding images to your carousel.
Add images to your carousel
You can add images to each slide by generating an image with EasyAI using the Generate image option or by:
Uploading it from your PC.
Selecting it from the course Media Library.
Selecting it from the Stock Library.
Embedding an image using a link.
Note: You can add up to 50 slides per Carousel content block.
To add another image, click Add slide in the top-right corner of the content block.
Manage slides
Hover over a slide to access the available options. You can:
Move a slide to change its position.
Duplicate a slide.
Delete a slide.
Edit images
After adding an image, you can edit it directly from the carousel. Depending on your needs, you can change the image, add a new slide, edit the image, or generate a new image with EasyAI.
When editing an image, you can:
Resize the image: zoom the image in or out to adjust how much of it is visible.
Fill the available area: adjust the image so that it fills the available space in the carousel.
Change the image alignment: align the image to the left, right, or center of the available space.
Resize the content block: adjust the size of the area used by the image carousel.
Blur parts of an image: blur specific areas of an image to hide sensitive or private details.
Once you finish editing the image, click Done to save your changes.
How learners view the carousel
Learners can navigate between the images using the arrows on the left and right sides of the carousel.
Depending on their device, they can also navigate through the slides using:
Navigation dots.
Swipe gestures on touch devices.
Keyboard controls.
Learners can also expand an image to view it in more detail.
Best practices
Group related images together. A carousel works best when all images contribute to the same topic or story.
Use clear, relevant images. Avoid adding images just to fill additional slides.
Keep the learner experience in mind. If learners need to compare images simultaneously, consider using a different layout instead.
Use image editing tools when needed. You can adjust the image position, zoom, and size to make sure the most important parts are visible.
Consider accessibility. Use meaningful images and make sure the information learners need is not communicated through visuals alone.
